This is really unorganized. But oh well. I never have to take another English class. :)

If nothing good is growing in your garden, weeds will.

And even if you clear those weeds away and it looks all pretty and clean on top, if you don't get the roots, they'll just keep growing back.

Even though this week we were just trying to serve others and the community, God gave us so much more. I gained friendships, got closer to old friends, grew in my faith, got to worship Him in His BEAUTIFUL creation, and saw some really cool things when God worked through us.

And isn't that just like our God? Even when we're just serving Him and not looking for anything in return, we receive so much more than we ever give Him.

But especially when we're not serving Him, not even thinking about Him, totally off and sinning and going off the path, He's there and He loves us and He puts people in our lives to shake us and show us our mistakes. He seeks us out. He wants us back. "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8. What an awesome God.

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4. Wow. God already gave us life, forgiveness, mercy, grace, love. So much more than we even ever deserved. But He wants even more for our lives. He's an intensely personal, relational God. He wants to be in every facet of our daily lives. He wants to give us the desires of our hearts. Whoa. What a revelation.

Old people have really cool stories.

I want nothing more out of life than to find someone to love for the rest of my life. To grow really old and wrinkly with him. And to have him look at me after 70 years the way some of those cute couples looked at each other.

Hope is a powerful thing.

I am not alone.

We serve an awesome, awe-inspiring God.

And I love Him.

And I'm not ashamed of it.

I'm a very blessed and happy young woman.

And I just want to spend the rest of my life serving the God who has given all of this to me, whether I end up at Community North 15 minutes from home, or being involved with medical missions that send me halfway around the world.

I want to be a follower of Christ, not just someone who admires Him from a distance.
